Bluestem Community Fund
"Neighbors taking care of neighbors" The Bluestem Community Fund (BCF) is an initiative established by the Council of Stewards in Bluestem's first year of operations. It was inspired by the many early visitors to Bluestem who asked us: "how will Bluestem support those who cannot afford burial?"
For individuals who care about green burial and wish to donate towards those who might not otherwise afford it, the fund supports a meaningful option for giving. Bluestem volunteers and staff are fundraising for the BCF in 2024, and developing an eligibility and application process for the public that will be announced sometime this year. We are grateful for this community led support, and particularly acknowledge the many gifts made in honor of Bluestem Residents in 2023.
