Fall 2023
Bluestem is open for walking every day, dawn to dusk.
Sales and burials are by appointment only.
Email us here if you need to arrange for at need burial.

Since November 2022
Bluestem is open to the public every day, dawn to dusk. Out of town visitors, friends and neighbors, have walked it with their dogs, to bird watch, to pond watch, to take in the wildflowers, or simply, to take a break from our fast paced lives. Bluestem has also supported over 40 families with green burial in its conservation cemetery.

If you find the gate closed, park in front of it and walk through the opening in the cedar fence.
Plan to stop by the barn to orient yourself with the map and informational materials. Grab a trail map before starting out. Note that some trails are fully marked while others are still under construction. Thanks to a grant received from Strowd Roses Foundation, we will be making improvements to trails over the summer!

Bring a picnic and hang out at one of the three picnic tables. Walk only on marked trails or on the grass pathways that circle every field. Watch for signs that designate our neighbors' property and do not trespass on their land. Please respect the grave mounds. Recent graves are covered in pine straw. Older gravesites are covered in wildflowers, native grasses, leaves, and new native species introduced at the time of burial.

Only natural materials may be left at gravesites. Feel free to leave some wildflowers behind.

Leashed dogs are welcome. Please remove all trash.
