Welcome
Find a Trail Map and Cemetery Guidelines at the Barn

Access into Bluestem is preferably on foot. Parking is along the tree line in the designated parking area. If the gate is closed, simply park in front of the gate and walk around it. Please email us ahead of time if you need assistance getting around in the cemetery.

Different from other places of worship, natural areas and cemeteries, Bluestem operates as a memorial landscape, where land is revered, and people are remembered for protecting it. Our guiding principles are simple, natural and respectful. Trails are under construction and built by volunteers. Gravesites are unmanicured and blend in with Bluestem's conservation practices. Please respect the graves and visiting family members.

Everyone visiting is asked to look out for and care for Bluestem. Please respect the worksites and do not play on the equipment. Friday workdays are great opportunities to learn more about and participate in our restoration efforts.

Dogs must be leashed. Please take away all trash. If you find a tree down or evidence of animal behavior please notify us.
Bluestem staff are onsite during the week and occasionally on the weekends. Email us with your observations!   .

We are grateful to the people who have cared for this land in the past, and for those choosing to be buried here, protecting it into the future.

Thank you for visiting.
