A Community Grief Space

Providing a place in nature for families to honor their loved ones at the end of their lives is critical to Bluestem's mission. Since November 2022, we have served hundreds of families with a natural burial service at Bluestem. Your donation impacts every family.

Bluestem continues to educate thousands of volunteers and visitors on the impacts of the modern funeral industry and provides an alternative where one's final act
provides nourishing habitat for wildlife, a healing space for families, a place of meaningful service for volunteers,
and the beauty of nature for all.

Your gift makes an impact in so many ways!
  • Supports individuals grieving loss
  • Provides support to our burial crew volunteers
  • Advances grassland and woodland restoration
  • Protects and nourishes wildlife habitat
  • Enables access for visitors with mobility needs
  • Encourages people into nature
  • Expands our trail network
  • Ensures a unique memorial landscape
  • And so much more!

GIVE ONLINE HERE
Words cannot express my gratitude towards this wonderful group of people and their actions. They have accompanied me in the most positive and pleasant way humanity can offer during a very difficult time in the moments surrounding the passing of a loved one.
I found Bluestem a week before the burial and I could not have imagined a more perfect place. We are very fortunate to have this beautiful place available to us, offering a unique setting for a deceased loved one to go back to nature in a realm of peace and tranquility.
